Home/Where to stay/Breukelen/Best hotels
Best hotels in Breukelen
A shortlist of the best hotels in Breukelen, from 4-star riverside stays to holiday homes on the Scheendijk and guesthouses in the village. It is for couples, families and business travellers choosing where to sleep along the Vecht.
Staying in Breukelen
Breukelen sits on the river Vecht, and the addresses on this list follow the water: the Scheendijk, the Rijksstraatweg, the Straatweg and Stationsweg all lie close to it, with a few properties set back in the polder at Oud Aa and Laag Nieuwkoop. Almost every hotel here has free car parking, and many have a garden, a terrace or a kitchen, so arriving by car is the easy option. Bike rental appears at Hotel Flora Batava, Luxury Apartment near Utrecht & Amsterdam and Bistrotel 'T Amsterdammertje, which suits the flat riverside lanes.
Couples will find the quietest nights in the holiday homes along the Scheendijk, while families get family rooms or whole houses with cots and high chairs. Business travellers are best served by Van der Valk Hotel Breukelen, with its 24 hour front desk, fitness centre and indoor pool, and by Hotel Flora Batava. Breukelen works well for a short break: it is small, green and water-bound, and the larger properties keep restaurants, bars and, in several cases, room service on site.
